Hello!
Do you ever feel…
Frustrated mentally and financially with the health industry’s mixed messages about what you should eat?
Like your hormones are out of balance and no one is listening to your concerns.
Overwhelmed by your relationship with food or stuck in patterns of disordered eating?
Told by others—including clinicians—that your vegetarian, vegan, or specialized diet can’t meet your nutritional needs.
Exhausted by gut health challenges like bloating, IBS, or unpredictable symptoms?
Less motivated, struggling with brain fog, seasonal depression, or overall a lack of energy for things you used to enjoy?
You’re not alone, and you don’t have to navigate this journey by yourself.
At Head and Heart Nutrition, I specialize in helping individuals reclaim their health and confidence by addressing the root causes of their concerns.

It is normal to be hesitant to start your health journey, here are some common questions answered to help ease your mind.
How much do sessions cost?
I offer a variety of packages and payment plans to fit your needs. Investing in your health may feel intimidating initially, but it can help save you money in the long run by reducing the need for medications and frequent doctor’s appointments. I accept Horizon BCBS, Cigna, and Aetna insurance. Depending on your coverage, you may have little to no out-of-pocket costs per session, or just a small copay.
What does nutrition counseling involve?
Nutrition counseling starts with a comprehensive assessment of your current eating habits, health goals, and lifestyle. As a dietitian, I work with you to create personalized nutrition plans, offer guidance on healthy eating, and provide ongoing support to help you reach your nutritional goals. My approach also emphasizes overall wellness, integrating different aspects of your life to enhance your quality of life.
How can nutrition counseling benefit me?
Nutrition counseling promotes overall health, improves your relationship with food and your body, and can help manage specific health conditions. It boosts energy levels, fosters sustainable and balanced eating habits, and improves your quality of life. Counseling provides individualized guidance tailored to your needs. If you’re questioning whether you need help, ask yourself if you feel truly content with your relationship with food and your body. Many people think they should already know how to "eat healthy" or "be healthy," but dietitians are experts in this field. There’s no need to feel judged or ashamed for wanting to learn how to optimize your health and care for your mind and body better.
How do I know if I need nutrition counseling?
Anyone can benefit from nutrition counseling. With so much conflicting information online, it’s hard to know what’s truly beneficial for your body. Dietitians have the scientific expertise to guide you toward a sustainable approach to eating. If you have specific health goals, dietary concerns, or medical conditions, or if you’re recovering from an eating disorder, a dietitian can offer tailored advice and support. Even one session can be incredibly beneficial—many clients learn a lot in their first visit and feel grateful they took the opportunity to get expert help.
How often should I attend counseling sessions?
The frequency of sessions depends on your individual needs and goals. Initially, more frequent sessions may be recommended, with the aim of transitioning to less frequent follow-ups as you build confidence in implementing dietary changes on your own.
Can I still enjoy my favorite foods?
Absolutely! My focus is on balance, not restriction. We’ll work together to include your favorite foods while ensuring your overall diet meets your nutritional needs.
What is the difference between a nutritionist and a dietitian?
Dietitians are licensed professionals with formal education in dietetics, including a degree, practical training, and continuing education requirements. They specialize in medical nutrition therapy and evidence-based practices. The title “nutritionist” is not universally regulated, and individuals using this title may have varying levels of education. Nutritionists often work in non-clinical settings and may not be subject to specific licensing requirements.
